The pictured handgun's caliber also matched that of the bullets that killed Tucker. The "big break" was cellphone records showing photos of a gun Ritchey had sent to a friend the day after the shooting with a text message that said he had just gotten into some trouble and "had to use it," according to the arrest report. Ritchey was interviewed by police Wednesday and admitted to doing the buy, but denied any involvement in the shooting, Butler said. "We have video surveillance evidence which shows the suspect hopping over the fence, then hopping back over the fence dropping money along the way," Butler said. Ritchey had called Tucker and set up a buy behind the house, and a security camera at a nearby business shows one of them before and after the shooting, Butler said. Ritchey and Tucker were co-workers at a nearby fast-food restaurant, and the latter had sold small amounts of marijuana to the former in the past, Butler said. He had been shot multiple times, Chief Chris Butler said. May 18 sent officers to a vacant house in the 7400 block of La Ventura Drive, where they found the body of 23-year-old William Lashawn Tucker of North Old Middleburg Road in the back yard.
